clearinghouse.

1.
The
department
of
workforce
development
shall
establish
3
a
clearinghouse
for
the
purpose
of
providing
information
to
the
4
state,
political
subdivisions
of
the
state,
and
veterans
who
5
are
citizens
and
residents
of
the
United
States,
concerning
the
6
rights
and
duties
relating
to
providing
veterans
preference
as
7
required
by
this
chapter.

2.
The
information
provided,
which
shall
include
a
written
9
statement
in
plain
language
concerning
the
rights
and
duties
10
of
this
chapter,
shall
be
developed
by
the
department
of
11
workforce
development
in
consultation
with
the
office
of
the
12
attorney
general.
The
information
provided
shall
also
include
13
information
concerning
the
enforcement
of
the
requirements
of
14
this
chapter.

3.
The
internet
site
for
the
department
of
workforce
16
development,
the
office
of
the
attorney
general,
and
the
17
department
of
veterans
affairs
shall
include
a
link
to
the
18
information
provided
pursuant
to
this
section.

EXPLANATION

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with

the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
requires
the
department
of
workforce
development
23
to
establish
a
clearinghouse
for
the
purpose
of
providing
24
information
on
Code
chapter
35C
concerning
veterans
preference.

The
bill
requires
that
the
department
develop
the
information
26
provided
in
consultation
with
the
office
of
the
attorney
27
general
and
include
information
concerning
the
enforcement
of
28
the
requirements
of
Code
chapter
35C.
The
bill
requires
the
29
department
of
workforce
development,
department
of
veterans
30
affairs,
and
the
office
of
the
attorney
general
to
include
a
31
link
on
their
internet
site
to
the
information
provided
as
32
required
by
this
bill.
