1.
Section
156.4,
Code
2016,
is
amended
by
adding
1
the
following
new
subsection:

NEW
SUBSECTION
.
6.
Notwithstanding
any
provision
to
3
the
contrary,
an
applicant
who
has
been
licensed
to
practice
4
mortuary
science
in
another
state
for
at
least
five
years
5
and
who
is
in
good
standing
with
the
regulatory
body
of
that
6
state
shall
qualify
for
a
license
to
practice
mortuary
science
7
in
this
state.
Such
an
applicant
shall
have
four
years
from
8
the
date
the
applicant
receives
a
license
from
the
board
to
9
complete
sixty
hours
of
continuing
education
in
accordance
with
10
the
continuing
education
requirements
prescribed
by
the
board
11
by
rule.

constitute
agreement

the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
requires
the
board
of
mortuary
science
to
grant
a
16
license
to
a
person
who
has
been
licensed
to
practice
mortuary
17
science
in
another
state
for
at
least
five
years
and
who
is
18
in
good
standing
with
the
regulatory
body
of
that
state.
The
19
bill
requires
such
persons
to
complete
60
hours
of
continuing
20
education
in
accordance
with
the
continuing
education
21
requirements
prescribed
by
the
board
by
rule
within
four
years
22
of
receiving
a
license
from
the
board.
