There
is
appropriated
from

the
general
fund
of
the
state
to
the
department
of
health
and

human
services
for
the
fiscal
year
beginning
July
1,
2024,
and

2025,
the

much
thereof

as
is
necessary,
for
the
purposes

The
funds
appropriated
in
this
section
shall
be
used
by
the

department
of
health
and
human
services
to
employ
a
statewide

dementia
care
coordinator
within
the
department,
and
to
provide

grants
to
each
area
agency
on
aging
to
employ
a
dementia
care
11
specialist
in
each
area
agency
on
aging.

inclusion

this

does

agreement
with

substance

the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
appropriates
$750,000
from
the
general
fund
of
the
16
state
to
the
department
of
health
and
human
services
(HHS)
for
17
FY
2024-2025
to
employ
a
statewide
dementia
care
coordinator
18
within
HHS,
and
to
provide
grants
to
each
area
agency
on
aging
19
to
employ
a
dementia
care
specialist
in
each
area
agency
on
20
aging.
