subsection
2,
paragraph
o,
Code

2021,
is
amended
to
read
as
follows:

o.
A
qualified
organization
representing
veterans
licensed
3
under
this
section
shall
not
hold
more
than
two
card
game
4
tournaments
per
month
and
shall
not
hold
a
card
game
tournament
5
within
seven
six
calendar
days
of
another
card
game
tournament
6
conducted
by
that
qualified
organization
representing
veterans.

Card
game
tournaments
held
during
a
game
night
conducted
8
pursuant
to
section
99B.26
shall
not
count
toward
the
limit
9
of
one
card
game
tournament
per
week
six
calendar
days
for
a
10
license
holder.
A
qualified
organization
representing
veterans
11
shall
be
allowed
to
hold
only
one
card
game
tournament
during
12
any
period
of
twenty-four
consecutive
hours,
starting
from
the
13
time
the
card
game
tournament
begins.

EXPLANATION

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with

the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
concerns
the
frequency
and
timing
of
card
game
18
tournaments
conducted
by
a
qualified
organization
representing
19
veterans.
Current
law
prohibits
the
holding
of
a
card
game
20
tournament
by
a
qualified
veterans
organization
within
seven
21
calendar
days
of
another
card
game
tournament
conducted
by
that
22
organization
and
limits
the
maximum
number
of
such
card
game
23
tournaments
to
be
held
in
a
month
to
two.
The
bill
eliminates
24
the
per-month
maximum
and
only
prohibits
holding
a
card
game
25
tournament
within
six
calendar
days
of
another
card
game
26
tournament.
