Code
2024,
is
amended
by
adding

the
following
new
subsection:

SUBSECTION

county
shall
not
adopt
a
building

provision
concerning
fire
safety
that
is
less
restrictive

than
the
regulations
contained
in
the
state
building
code

adopted
by
the
state
building
code
commissioner
pursuant
to

section
103A.7.

Section
364.3,
Code
2024,
is
amended
by
adding
the

following
new
subsection:

city
shall
not
adopt
a
building
code

concerning
fire
safety
that
is
less
restrictive
than

the
regulations
contained
in
the
state
building
code
adopted

by
the
state
building
code
commissioner
pursuant

bill
relates
to
fire
safety
regulation
in
counties
and

cities.

county

city
from
adopting
a
building

code
provision
concerning
fire
safety
that
is
less
restrictive

than
the
regulations
contained
in
the
state
building
code.
