SHOTGUNS
THAT
MAY
BE
USED
TO
HUNT
TURKEY.
BE
IT
ENACTED
BY
THE
GENERAL
ASSEMBLY
OF
THE
STATE
OF
IOWA:
Section
1.
Section
483A.7,
Code
2022,
is
amended
by
adding
the
following
new
subsection:
NEW
SUBSECTION
.
5.
The
commission
shall
authorize
a
person
hunting
turkey
with
a
license
that
authorizes
the
use
of
a
shotgun
to
use
a
caliber
.410
shotgun
or
a
28-gauge
shotgun.
A
caliber
.410
shotgun
or
a
28-gauge
shotgun
used
for
hunting
turkey
shall
only
shoot
shot
not
smaller
than
shot
size
number
10.
