amended

adding

Oxford
English
dictionary
is
hereby

adopted
as
the
official
dictionary
of
the
state
of
Iowa.

EXPLANATION

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with

the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
adopts
the
Oxford
English
dictionary
as
the

official
state
dictionary.

The
provisions
of
Code
section
1.18
do
not
apply
to,
among
10
other
things,
commerce,
public
health
and
safety,
education,
11
and
communication
by
a
member
of
the
general
assembly
or
an
12
officer
of
state
government.
