Senator
Tim
Kapucian
was
first
elected

to
the
Senate
in
2008,
and
has
represented
portions

of
Benton,
Grundy,
Iowa,
Poweshiek,
and
Tama
counties
5
during
his
service
in
the
Senate;
and
6
WHEREAS,
Senator
Kapucian
was
born
in
Marengo,
7
Iowa,
and
raised
on
a
farm
northwest
of
Keystone,
8
Iowa,
earned
a
B.S.
in
animal
science
from
Iowa
State
9
University,
and
currently
owns
and
runs
a
grain
and
10
livestock
farm
with
his
wife
just
outside
Keystone;
and
11
WHEREAS,
Senator
Kapucian’s
professional
career
12
has
included
service
as
president
of
the
Iowa
Pork
13
Producers
and
membership
on
the
Agriculture
Advisory
14
Board
of
the
Federal
Reserve
Bank
of
Chicago;
and
15
WHEREAS,
during
his
Senate
tenure,
Senator
Kapucian
16
has
served
on
a
variety
of
committees,
including

the
Agriculture,
Appropriations,
Economic
Growth,
18
Local
Government,
Natural
Resources
and
Environment,
19
and
Transportation
(Chairperson
and
Ranking

Member)
standing
committees,
the
Transportation,

Infrastructure,
and
Capitals
Appropriations

RESOLVED
BY
THE
SENATE,
That
the
Senate
honors

and
thanks
Senator
Tim
Kapucian
for
his
years
of

service
in
the
Senate,
and
wishes
him

his
