the
Morningside
College
Mustangs

football
team
had
a
15-0
overall
record
and
finished

the
season
ranked
as
the
number
one
team
in
the

National
Association
of
Intercollegiate
Athletics;
and

WHEREAS,
on
December
15,
2018,
the
Mustangs
won
9
the
National
Association
of
Intercollegiate
Athletics
10
National
Championship
at
Daytona
Stadium
in
Daytona
11
Beach,
Florida,
defeating
Benedictine
College
for
the
12
program’s
first
national
championship;
and
13
WHEREAS,
the
Mustangs’
accomplishment
marks
only
the
14
sixth
time
that
an
Iowa
college
or
university
football
15
team
has
earned
a
national
championship
recognized
by
16
the
National
Association
of
Intercollegiate
Athletics

or
the
National
Collegiate
Athletic
Association;
