This
bill
removes
an
inconsistency
regarding
the
employment

of
the
executive
director
of
the
board
of
educational

examiners.

Prior
to
2012,
the
board
had
exclusive
authority
to
hire
12
its
executive
director.
In
2012,
legislation
was
enacted
that
13
directed
the
governor
to
appoint
the
executive
director
subject
14
to
senate
confirmation.
The
bill
resolves
the
inconsistency
15
by
striking
the
language
authorizing
the
board
to
hire
an
16
executive
director.
