AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 313
AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 313, AS AMENDED,
with reference to page and line numbers of House Amendment No.
2, on page 292, immediately below line 25, by inserting the
following:
""Comprehensive nursing assessment" means the gathering of
information about the patient's physiological, psychological,
sociological, and spiritual status on an ongoing basis by a
registered professional nurse and is the first step in
implementing and guiding the nursing plan of care."; and
on page 293, by replacing lines 23 and 24 with "comprehensive
nursing assessment performed by the registered professional
nurse or advanced practice registered nurse or the assessment
by the physician assistant,"; and
on page 295, by deleting lines 9 through 14; and

individual or entity shall not mandate that a registered

intervention based on patient safety."; and
