| 2 | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 1097 on page 4, by | ||||||
| 3 | replacing lines 20 and 21 with the following: | ||||||
| 4 | "(c) A grant under this Section shall be based on whether | ||||||
| 5 | the applicant has financial need, as determined by the | ||||||
| 6 | Commission using the information reported on the applicant's | ||||||
| 7 | Free Application For Federal Student Aid An applicant for a | ||||||
| 8 | grant under this Section need not
demonstrate financial need | ||||||
| 9 | to qualify for the benefits."; and

| 10 | on page 3, line 8, by replacing "2023" with "2024".
