| 2 | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 2770 by replacing | ||||||
| 3 | everything after the enacting clause with the following:

| 4 | "Section 5. The Illinois Procurement Code is amended by | ||||||
| 5 | changing Section 1-5 as follows:

| 6 | (30 ILCS 500/1-5)

| 7 | Sec. 1-5. Public policy. It is the
the purpose of this Code

| 8 | and is declared to be the policy
of the State that the | ||||||
| 9 | principles of competitive bidding and
economical procurement | ||||||
| 10 | practices shall
be applicable to all purchases and contracts | ||||||
| 11 | by or for any State
agency. | ||||||
