| 1 | AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 422

| 2 | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 422 by replacing | ||||||
| 3 | everything after the enacting clause with the following:

| 4 | "Section 5. The Township Code is amended by adding Section | ||||||
| 5 | 30-51 as follows:
| ||||||
| 6 | (60 ILCS 1/30-51 new) | ||||||
| 7 | Sec. 30-51. Competitive bidding exceptions. Contracts and | ||||||
| 8 | purchases that by their nature are not adapted to award by | ||||||
| 9 | competitive bidding, such as contracts for goods procured from | ||||||
| 10 | another governmental agency and purchases of equipment | ||||||
| 11 | previously owned by some entity other than the township itself, | ||||||
| 12 | are not subject to the competitive bidding requirements of this | ||||||
| 13 | Code.".
