1 | AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1065
| ||||||
2 | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 1065 by replacing | ||||||
3 | everything after the enacting clause with the following:
| ||||||
4 | "Section 5. The Adjutant General, on behalf of the State | ||||||
5 | of Illinois and the Department of Military Affairs, is | ||||||
6 | authorized to convey by Quitclaim Deed all right, title, and | ||||||
7 | interest of the State of Illinois and the Department of | ||||||
8 | Military Affairs in and to the real estate described in | ||||||
9 | Section 10 to the City of Lawrenceville, subject to the | ||||||
10 | conditions and restriction described in Section 15.
| ||||||
11 | Section 10. The Adjutant General is authorized to convey | ||||||
12 | the following described real property:
| ||||||
13 | A part of Hennessy's Porter Avenue Addition to | ||||||
14 | Lawrenceville, Illinois as recorded in Plat Book 1, page 92, | ||||||
15 | Lawrence County, Illinois, and described as follows:

1 | Commencing at a point of beginning, an iron pin, at the | ||||||
2 | Southeast Corner of Lot 22 of said Addition; thence North | ||||||
3 | 89° 55' 24" West along the South line of Lot 22 a distance | ||||||
4 | of 125 feet to an iron pin, at the Southwest corner of Lot | ||||||
5 | 22; thence North 38° 22' 36" West a distance of 143.98 feet | ||||||
6 | to an iron pin at the most Southerly Corner of Lot 16; | ||||||
7 | thence North 44° 17' 30" West along the Southwesterly line | ||||||
8 | of Lot 16 a distance of 125 feet to an iron pin at the most | ||||||
9 | Westerly corner of Lot 16; thence North 45° 37' 54" East | ||||||
10 | along the Northwesterly lines of Lots 16, 17, 18 and 19 a | ||||||
11 | distance of 225 feet to an iron pin; thence continuing | ||||||
12 | North 45° 37' 54" East a distance of 17 feet to the most | ||||||
13 | Northerly Corner of Lot 19; thence South 44° 17' 30" East | ||||||
14 | along the Northeasterly line of Lots 19 and 42 a distance | ||||||
15 | of 184.23 feet to a point at the Northeasterly Corner of | ||||||
16 | Lot 42; thence South 0° 00' 00" West along the East line of | ||||||
17 | Lot 42 a distance of 24.34 feet to an iron pin; thence | ||||||
18 | continuing South 0° 00' 00" West a distance of 215.6 feet | ||||||
19 | to the point of beginning.

20 | Section 15. The Adjutant General shall not convey the real | ||||||
21 | property described in Section 10 to the City of Lawrenceville | ||||||
22 | until the Adjutant General determines that the property is no | ||||||
23 | longer required for military purposes. Conveyance of the above |

1 | real property will be in an "as is" condition, and the City of | ||||||
2 | Lawrenceville will pay all required costs and expenses for the | ||||||
3 | conveyance, as determined by the Adjutant General. The | ||||||
4 | Quitclaim Deed shall state on its face and be subject to the | ||||||
5 | condition that if the property is no longer used for public | ||||||
6 | purposes, then title shall revert without further action to | ||||||
7 | the State of Illinois.

8 | Section 20. The Adjutant General shall obtain a certified | ||||||
9 | copy of this Act from the Secretary of State within 60 days | ||||||
10 | after its effective date and, upon the conveyance of the real | ||||||
11 | estate described in Section 10 being made, shall cause the | ||||||
12 | certified copy of this Act to be recorded in the office of the | ||||||
13 | Recorder of Lawrence County, Illinois.

14 | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon | ||||||
15 | becoming law.".
