AN ACT concerning education.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Sections
10-20.69 and 34-18.61 as follows:
(105 ILCS 5/10-20.69 new)
Sec. 10-20.69. "In God We Trust" display. A school board
may allow the motto "In God We Trust" to be displayed in a
conspicuous location inside or outside each school building.
Nothing in this Section shall be construed to require a school
district to display the motto "In God We Trust" inside or
outside each school building.

Sec. 34-18.61. "In God We Trust" display. The board may
allow the motto "In God We Trust" to be displayed in a
conspicuous location inside or outside each school building.
Nothing in this Section shall be construed to require the
school district to display the motto "In God We Trust" inside
or outside each school building.
