1 AN ACT concerning regulation.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Public Utilities Act is amended by changing
5Section 8-302 as follows:
6 (220 ILCS 5/8-302) (from Ch. 111 2/3, par. 8-302)
7 Sec. 8-302. The The Commission shall require that every
8public utility furnishing natural or artificial gas,
9electricity or water to the public, where the individual
10consumption is measured by meter, shall, upon written request
11of any consumer, cause the meter reader at the time of reading
12such consumer's meter to leave at such meter a card showing the
13present reading of the meter, the last previous reading, and
14the dates of such two readings.
