1 AN ACT concerning State government.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Legislative Commission Reorganization Act
5of 1984 is amended by changing Section 8A-5 as follows:
6 (25 ILCS 130/8A-5)
7 Sec. 8A-5. Architect of the the Capitol.
8 (a) The Architect of the Capitol must be an architect
9licensed under the Illinois Architecture Practice Act of 1989
10and must have at least 5 years of experience in the field of
11architecture, historic preservation, or both.
12 (b) The offices of the Architect of the Capitol and his or
13her staff shall be located in Springfield, Illinois, in a
14building or facility occupied in whole or in part by the
15legislative branch.
16 (c) The Architect of the Capitol shall have the powers and
17duties provided by law and by the Board of the Office of the
18Architect of the Capitol.
