1 AN ACT concerning civil law.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Conveyances Act is amended by changing
5Section 4 as follows:
6 (765 ILCS 5/4) (from Ch. 30, par. 4)
7 Sec. 4. Any person claiming right or title to lands,
8tenements or hereditaments, although he, she or they may be out
9of possession, and and notwithstanding there may be an adverse
10possession thereof, may sell, convey and transfer his or her
11interest in and to the same, in as full and complete a manner
12as if he or she were in the actual possession of the lands and
13premises intended to be conveyed; and the grantee or grantees
14shall have the same right of action for the recovery thereof,
15and shall in all respects derive the same benefit and advantage
16therefrom, as if the grantor or grantors had been in the actual
17possession at the time of executing the conveyance.
