Bill Title: Amends the Driver Education Act of the School Code. Provides that instead of a school district providing the practice driving part of a driver education course, the district may enter into a memorandum of understanding with a private driver education provider stating the provider's ability and willingness to offer the practice driving part of the driver education course at a cost to the student equal to or less than the cost the district would incur in offering the instruction. Requires the district to submit to the State Board of Education and the State Board of Education to approve the memorandum of understanding before the district is relieved of its duty to provide behind-the-wheel instruction.

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 1587 as follows:
on page 2, line 12, by replacing "private driver education
provider" with "Secretary of State-licensed, teen-accredited,
commercial driver training school"; and
on page 2, line 13, by replacing "provider's" with "commercial
driver training school's"; and
on page 2, lines 20 and 21, by replacing "private driver
education provider" with "Secretary of State-licensed,
teen-accredited, commercial driver training school"; and
on page 2, lines 22 and 23, by replacing "any rules of the
State Board of Education" with "Part 1060 of Title 92 of the
Illinois Administrative Code"; and
