Effective immediately.

SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
5 ILCS 490/73 new

    Amends the State Commemorative Dates Act. Provides that October 25 of each year is designated as the Gene "Coach Ping" Pingatore Day, to be observed throughout the State as a day to honor the athletic accomplishments and to reflect on the legacy of Gene "Coach Ping" Pingatore. Effective immediately.

1    AN ACT concerning government.
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4    Section 5. The State Commemorative Dates Act is amended by
5adding Section 73 as follows:
6    (5 ILCS 490/73 new)
7    Sec. 73. Gene "Coach Ping" Pingatore Day. October 25 of
8each year is designated as the Gene "Coach Ping" Pingatore
9Day, to be observed throughout the State as a day to honor the
10athletic accomplishments and to reflect on the legacy of Gene
11"Coach Ping" Pingatore.
12    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
13becoming law.
