Amends the Freedom of Information Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning lists of available records.

1 AN ACT concerning government.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Freedom of Information Act is amended by
5changing Section 5 as follows:
6 (5 ILCS 140/5) (from Ch. 116, par. 205)
7 Sec. 5. As to public records prepared or received after the
8the effective date of this Act, each public body shall maintain
9and make available for inspection and copying a reasonably
10current list of all types or categories of records under its
11control. The list shall be reasonably detailed in order to aid
12persons in obtaining access to public records pursuant to this
13Act. Each public body shall furnish upon request a description
14of the manner in which public records stored by means of
15electronic data processing may be obtained in a form
16comprehensible to persons lacking knowledge of computer
17language or printout format.
