Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Removes "not the actual mileage" language from the application for a corrected certificate of title. Effective immediately.

1 AN ACT concerning transportation.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Illinois Vehicle Code is amended by changing
5Section 3-111.1 as follows:
6 (625 ILCS 5/3-111.1) (from Ch. 95 1/2, par. 3-111.1)
7 Sec. 3-111.1. Corrected certificates. An application for a
8corrected certificate of title must state the current vehicle
9odometer reading at the time of application and that the stated
10odometer reading is one of the following: actual mileage, not
11the actual mileage or mileage is in excess of its mechanical
12limits. The corrected certificate issued under this Section
13shall contain the notation "corrected".

15 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
16becoming law.
