Bill Title: Reinserts the provisions of the introduced bill with the following changes. Provides that the Department of Public Health shall create a pilot program to allow the Department to enter into an agreement with a municipality that employs a State of Illinois certified plumbing inspector (rather than with a licensed plumber employed by a municipality) to do inspections on behalf of the Department and submit appropriate documentation as requested to verify the inspections were completed to the standards required by the Department and outlined in the partnership.

AN ACT concerning State government.
| ||||
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
| ||||
represented in the General Assembly:
| ||||
Section 5. The Department of Public Health Powers and | ||||
Duties Law of the
Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is | ||||
amended by adding Section 2310-720 as follows:

Sec. 2310-720. Pilot program with municipalities that | ||||
employ a certified plumbing inspector. The Department shall | ||||
create a pilot program to allow the Department to enter into an | ||||
agreement with a municipality that employs a State of Illinois | ||||
certified plumbing inspector to do inspections on behalf of | ||||
the Department and submit appropriate documentation as | ||||
requested to verify the inspections were completed to the | ||||
standards required by the Department and outlined in the | ||||
partnership.
