AN ACT concerning government.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The Freedom of Information Act is amended by
adding Section 2.26 as follows:
(5 ILCS 140/2.26 new)
Sec. 2.26. Requester verification. If a public body uses
an electronic system for the submission of requests under this
Act, then it shall employ a CAPTCHA test or other similar
measures to verify that those electronically submitted
requests are being made by a human.
