Bill Title: Amends the State Commemorative Dates Act. Provides that June 27 of each year is to be recognized as Post-Traumatic Stress Injury Day to bring awareness to the brave men and women who received post-traumatic stress injuries while risking their lives to protect our freedom, health, and welfare and to recognize those who have suffered post-traumatic stress injuries for their gallantry, commitment, devotion, and sacrifice for our communities.

| 1 | AN ACT concerning State government.

| 2 | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
| ||||||
| 3 | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | Section 5. The State Commemorative Dates Act is amended by | ||||||
| 5 | adding Section 218 as follows:

| 6 | (5 ILCS 490/218 new) | ||||||
| 7 | Sec. 218. Post-Traumatic Stress Injury Awareness Day. June | ||||||
| 8 | 27 of each year is to be recognized throughout the State as | ||||||
| 9 | Post-Traumatic Stress Injury Day to bring awareness to the | ||||||
| 10 | brave men
and women who received post-traumatic stress | ||||||
| 11 | injuries while risking their lives
to protect our freedom, | ||||||
| 12 | health, and welfare and to recognize those who have suffered | ||||||
