Bill Title: Amends the Department of Professional Regulation Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Requires the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation to employ an investigator who is required to devote at least 50% of his or her time to the investigation of complaints that allege a violation of the Illinois Optometric Practice Act of 1987 or its rules.

2 | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

3 | represented in the General Assembly:

4 | Section 5. The Department of Professional Regulation Law of | ||||||

Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is amended by adding | ||||||
6 | Section 2105-80 as follows:

8 | Sec. 2105-80. Optometric designated investigator. The | ||||||
9 | Department shall employ an investigator who is required to | ||||||
10 | devote at least 50% of his or her time to the investigation of | ||||||
11 | complaints that allege a violation of the Illinois Optometric | ||||||
12 | Practice Act of 1987 or its rules.
