AN ACT concerning regulation.
| ||||
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
| ||||
represented in the General Assembly:
| ||||
Section 5. The Home Health, Home Services, and Home Nursing | ||||
Agency Licensing Act is amended by changing Section 2.05 as | ||||
follows:

Sec. 2.05.
"Home health services" means services provided
| ||||
to a person at his residence according to a plan of treatment
| ||||
for illness or infirmity
prescribed by a physician licensed to | ||||
practice medicine in all its branches, a physician assistant | ||||
who has been delegated the authority to prescribe home health | ||||
services by his or her supervising physician, or an advanced | ||||
practice nurse who has a written collaborative agreement with a | ||||
collaborating physician that delegates the authority to | ||||
prescribe home health services . Such services include part time | ||||
and
intermittent nursing services and other therapeutic | ||||
services
such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, | ||||
speech therapy,
medical social services, or services provided | ||||
by a home health aide.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
becoming law.
