AN ACT concerning education.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Section
10-20.85 as follows:
(105 ILCS 5/10-20.85 new)
Sec. 10-20.85. Social emotional learning assessment.
School boards shall require that each student is assessed by a
teacher or school staff member no less than 3 times per year on
social emotional learning utilizing a comprehensive,
evidence-based, social emotional learning system.
