SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
705 ILCS 405/1-16.5 new

Amends the Juvenile Court Act of 1987. 1 AN ACT concerning courts.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Juvenile Court Act of 1987 is amended by
5adding Section 1-16.5 as follows:
6 (705 ILCS 405/1-16.5 new)
7 Sec. 1-16.5. Custody matters involving the position of and
8testimony from the Department of Children and Family Services.
9In any court proceeding instituted under this Act that may
10result in a change of custody, the court shall ensure that any
11position of and testimony from the Department of Children and
12Family Services in reference to the change in custody is
13included in the court record.
14 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
15becoming law.
