1 AN ACT concerning public aid.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by
5 adding Section 5-27 as follows:
6 (305 ILCS 5/5-27 new)
7 Sec. 5-27. Personal needs allowance. The minimum monthly
8 personal needs allowance, as authorized under Section 1902(q)
9 of Title XIX of the Social Security Act, for a person who is an
10 inpatient in an institution or facility for which payments are
11 made under this Article throughout a month, and who is
12 determined to be eligible for medical assistance under this
13 Article, is $50.
