AN ACT concerning State government.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The Secretary of State Merit Employment Code is
amended by changing Section 10b.18 as follows:
(15 ILCS 310/10b.18) (from Ch. 124, par. 110b.18)
Sec. 10b.18. Veterans hospital visits. An employee who is
also a veteran shall be permitted 4 2 days per year to visit a
veterans hospital for examination of a military service
connected disability. The 4 2 days shall not be charged against
any sick leave currently available to the employee.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
becoming law.
