Bill Title: Amends the Election Code. Provides that an election authority shall, at least 46 days (now, 45 days) prior to the date of the primary election, have a sufficient number of ballots printed so that the ballots will be available for mailing 45 days prior to the primary election. Effective immediately.

1 | AN ACT concerning elections.

2 | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
| |||||||||||||||||||
3 | represented in the General Assembly:

4 | Section 5. The Election Code is amended by changing Section | |||||||||||||||||||
5 | 7-16 as follows:

6 | (10 ILCS 5/7-16) (from Ch. 46, par. 7-16)

7 | Sec. 7-16.
Each election authority in each county
shall | |||||||||||||||||||
8 | prepare and cause to be printed the primary ballot of each

9 | political party for each precinct in the election authority's | |||||||||||||||||||
10 | his respective jurisdiction.
