SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
325 ILCS 5/4.6 new

1 AN ACT concerning children.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Abused and Neglected Child Reporting Act is
5amended by adding Section 4.6 as follows:
6 (325 ILCS 5/4.6 new)
7 Sec. 4.6. Sex offense against a child; witness reporting
8requirement. Any person who witnesses a sex offense committed
9against a child, as such sex offenses are defined in the
10Criminal Code of 1961, shall immediately report the offense to
11the appropriate local law enforcement agency.
12 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
13becoming law.
