| 1 | HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION
| ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, It is highly fitting that the Illinois General | ||||||
| 3 | Assembly pays honor and respect to individuals who have given | ||||||
| 4 | their lives in service to their communities; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Trooper April C. Styburski was killed while | ||||||
| 6 | responding to an accident near Pingree Grove on U.S. 20; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Trooper Styburski was a four-year veteran of the | ||||||
| 8 | Illinois State Police; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, At the time of her passing, Trooper Styburski was | ||||||
| 10 | survived by her husband and son; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 11 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
| 12 | HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE | ||||||
| 13 | SENATE CONCURRING HEREIN, that we designate the section of | ||||||
| 14 | Illinois Route 20 between Plank Road and Switzer Road as the | ||||||
| 15 | "Trooper April C. Styburski Memorial Highway"; and be it | ||||||
| 16 | further
| ||||||
| 17 | RESOLVED, That the Illinois Department of Transportation | ||||||
| 18 | is requested to erect at suitable locations, consistent with | ||||||
| 19 | State and federal regulations, appropriate plaques or signs | ||||||
| 20 | giving notice of the name of the "Trooper April C. Styburski | ||||||

| |||||||
| 1 | Memorial Highway"; and be it further
| ||||||
| 2 | RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be | ||||||
| 3 | presented to the family of Trooper Styburski and the Secretary | ||||||
| 4 | of Transportation.
