2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
3 | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Aaron | ||||||
4 | Lashawn Pittman-Teague, who passed away on January 6, 2025; | ||||||
5 | and
| ||||||
6 | WHEREAS, Aaron Pittman-Teague was born to Josephine L. | ||||||
7 | Teague and Aaron L. Pittman in Kankakee on October 23, 1995; he | ||||||
8 | graduated from Ottawa Township High School; he attended | ||||||
9 | Illinois Valley Community College; he married Melissa in 2023; | ||||||
10 | and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Aaron Pittman-Teague worked for DHL, the Illinois | ||||||
12 | Department of Corrections, and the Illinois Department of | ||||||
13 | Transportation throughout his career; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Aaron Pittman-Teague was deeply involved in | ||||||
15 | giving back to his community, including coaching youth | ||||||
16 | basketball; and
| ||||||
17 | WHEREAS, Aaron Pittman-Teague loved sports and fishing; he | ||||||
18 | was a passionate music enthusiast who dedicated much of his | ||||||
19 | time in the studio, managing artists and recording his own | ||||||
20 | music; his work as a creative sound engineer earned him | ||||||
21 | credits in various films, and he owned a label in partnership |

1 | with Universal Records; and

2 | WHEREAS, Aaron Pittman-Teague, often referred to as a | ||||||
3 | gentle giant, was known for his kindness, humor, generosity, | ||||||
4 | infectious energy, and his passion for his family; and

5 | WHEREAS, Aaron Teague-Pittman was preceded in death by his | ||||||
6 | great-grandmother, Rosie L. Teague, and his grandmother, | ||||||
7 | Waneda Pittman; and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, Aaron Teague-Pittman is survived by his wife, | ||||||
9 | Melissa; his stepdaughter, Emery; his parents; his | ||||||
10 | grandmother, Ruthel Teague; his siblings, Zaida Teague-Calvin, | ||||||
11 | Jordan Teague, TyKeisha Washington, Rochaud Alexander Pittman, | ||||||
12 | Sydney Doyal, Taylor Doyal, Skyler Pittman, and London | ||||||
13 | Pittman; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins, and | ||||||
14 | friends; therefore, be it

16 | HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
17 | we mourn the passing of Aaron Lashawn Pittman-Teague and | ||||||
18 | extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all | ||||||
