| 2 | WHEREAS, On March 17, 2013, Nicholas Matthias participated | ||||||
| 3 | in the Midget State Wrestling Championship in Danville with 600 | ||||||
| 4 | other wrestlers from all over the State of Illinois; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Nicholas Matthias joined 32 other wrestlers in | ||||||
| 6 | competing for the 70-pound weight bracket; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Nicholas Matthias pinned his first opponent in 33 | ||||||
| 8 | seconds, pinned his second opponent in 46 seconds, won his | ||||||
| 9 | third match with a score of seven to zero, and won his fourth | ||||||
| 10 | match with a score of two to one; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Nicholas Matthias wrestled in a hard-fought | ||||||
| 12 | championship match and came out with a victory with a score of | ||||||
| 13 | one to zero; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, Nicholas Matthias was also one of only three | ||||||
| 15 | wrestlers named as the Outstanding Wrestler for the tournament, | ||||||
| 16 | out of over 600 wrestlers; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 17 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
| 18 | NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 19 | we congratulate Nicholas Matthias on the occasion of his | ||||||
| 20 | victory at the Midget State Wrestling Championship in Danville | ||||||

| 1 | and for being named an Outstanding Wrestler and wish him | ||||||
| 2 | continued success in the future; and be it further
