2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
3 | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of L.A. | ||||||
4 | Randle of Creve Coeur, formerly of Peoria, who passed away on | ||||||
5 | June 6, 2021; and
| ||||||
6 | WHEREAS, L.A. Randle was born in Cruger, Mississippi to | ||||||
7 | Lizzie B. and Nathaniel Randle Sr. on April 14, 1949; as a | ||||||
8 | small child, his family settled in Peoria, and he attended | ||||||
9 | McKinley Elementary School and Roosevelt Junior High School; | ||||||
10 | he graduated from Manual High School and, as a teen, met the | ||||||
11 | lasting love of his life, Linda Fay Kennedy; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, L.A. Randle worked for Sealtest Dairy and Doran | ||||||
13 | Trucking prior to founding and operating the long-running Blue | ||||||
14 | Note Lounge, INC. with his brother Frank; after a few years, he | ||||||
15 | and Linda became the owners of the Blue Note Lounge; he and | ||||||
16 | Linda spent over 43 years in the bar business, including | ||||||
17 | owning for many years L.A. Connection-Rhythm and Blues; and
| ||||||
18 | WHEREAS, L.A. Randle and Frank were avid motorcycle club | ||||||
19 | members during their riding years and enjoyed meeting many | ||||||
20 | people while riding with cousins, as well as old and new | ||||||
21 | friends; and

1 | WHEREAS, L.A. Randle was preceded in death by his parents; | ||||||
2 | his sisters, Ruth McClellan and Lizzie Lobdell; his brothers, | ||||||
3 | Frank, Jimmy, and Rev. RW Randle; his nephew, Julian Lobdell; | ||||||
4 | and his niece, Glenda Jean Baldwin; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, L.A. Randle is survived by his wife, Linda; his | ||||||
6 | children, Sean Randle, Vincent (Geni) Randle, Karla | ||||||
7 | Randle-Jackson (Michael), Juan Coleman, and Leslie Alan | ||||||
8 | Guthrie; 27 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; his | ||||||
9 | brothers, Nathaniel Randle, Charles L. (Mary Ann) Randle, and | ||||||
10 | Robert E. Harris; his sisters, Nancy Moredock and Leola | ||||||
11 | Jefferson; his sisters-in-law, Dorothy M., Joan, and Ethiel | ||||||
12 | Randle; and 21 nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
| ||||||
13 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
14 | HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
15 | we mourn the passing of L.A. Randle and extend our sincere | ||||||
16 | condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved | ||||||
17 | him; and be it further

18 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
19 | presented to the family of L.A. Randle as an expression of our | ||||||
20 | deepest sympathy.
