| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to congratulate the Deliverance Manor | ||||||
| 4 | Housing Corporation on the occasion of its 30th anniversary | ||||||
| 5 | celebration of the opening of Deliverance Manor; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, The Deliverance Manor Housing Corporation has | ||||||
| 7 | provided upscale housing for the elderly in the Bronzeville | ||||||
| 8 | community in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Housing | ||||||
| 9 | and Urban Development under Section 202 of the Housing Act of | ||||||
| 10 | 1959; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, The Section 202 Supportive Housing for the | ||||||
| 12 | Elderly Program (the Section 202 program) has expanded the | ||||||
| 13 | supply of affordable housing with supportive services for the | ||||||
| 14 | elderly, permitting the residents of Deliverance Manor the | ||||||
| 15 | opportunity to live independently while in an environment that | ||||||
| 16 | provides support activities, including cleaning, cooking, and | ||||||
| 17 | transportation; and
| ||||||
| 18 | WHEREAS, Residents of Deliverance Manor have also received | ||||||
| 19 | quality housing services thanks to the consistent and | ||||||
| 20 | dedicated hard work of the Board of Directors of the | ||||||
| 21 | Deliverance Manor Housing Corporation, the staff of | ||||||
| 22 | Deliverance Manor, and the management services of Active | ||||||

| 1 | Residential Management Services; therefore, be it

| 2 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
| 3 | HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 4 | we congratulate the Deliverance Manor Housing Corporation on | ||||||
| 5 | its 30 years of continued commitment towards providing | ||||||
| 6 | affordable and upscale housing to the elderly in the | ||||||
| 7 | Bronzeville community through Deliverance Manor; and be it | ||||||
| 8 | further
