2 | WHEREAS, Residents of Frankfort Township and the Village of | ||||||
3 | Mokena lost an
active and beloved community leader with the | ||||||
4 | recent passing of Bruce Edmund
Ebert; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Bruce Ebert passed away peacefully with his family | ||||||
6 | around him at
Northwestern Memorial Hospital on February 9, | ||||||
7 | 2015; and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, Bruce Ebert graduated from Lincoln-Way High | ||||||
9 | School in 1964; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Bruce Ebert served his local community, State, and | ||||||
11 | country with honor
in the United States Army from 1966 to 1969; | ||||||
12 | and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, In 1972, Bruce Ebert married Diane Tuttle and they | ||||||
14 | began their life
together in Mokena; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS, In 1978, Bruce and Diane Ebert started Ebert | ||||||
16 | Electric in Mokena, which
is still in business today; and
| ||||||
17 | WHEREAS, Bruce Ebert served his neighbors and his community | ||||||
18 | in a variety of
public positions, including President of the | ||||||
19 | Mokena School Board, President of
the Lincoln-Way Band |

1 | Boosters, President of the St. John's Church Council, and
| ||||||
2 | Frankfort Township Trustee; and
| ||||||
3 | WHEREAS, Bruce Ebert also was an active member of the | ||||||
4 | Mokena Lions Club and
the Historical Society; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Bruce Ebert loved spending time with his family, | ||||||
6 | and he particularly
enjoyed cheering at his grandchildren's | ||||||
7 | sporting and school events, tending to his
yard, dancing with | ||||||
8 | his wife, and driving his Oliver tractor; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Bruce Ebert will be greatly missed by all of those | ||||||
10 | whose lives he
touched and improved by his dedicated service; | ||||||
11 | and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Bruce Ebert is survived by his wife of 42 years,
| ||||||
13 | Diane; his children, LeeAnn (Bret) Taylor and Bryant | ||||||
14 | (Christie); his grandchildren, Jessica and Brian Taylor and | ||||||
15 | Gavin and Breanna Ebert; his
siblings, Dale (Lynn Laas) and | ||||||
16 | Dianne (Robert) Schultz; his in-laws, Robert (Valerie) Horras, | ||||||
17 | Dorothy Tuttle, Sheree (Richard) Kinder, and Neil
(Rose) | ||||||
18 | Tuttle; and numerous family members and friends; therefore, be | ||||||
19 | it

20 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
21 | NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |

1 | mourn, along with his family, friends, and neighbors, the | ||||||
2 | passing of Bruce Edmund Ebert; and be it further

3 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||

Bruce Ebert as a symbol of our | ||||||
5 | sympathy and our gratitude.
