| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to recognize Diamanto Mesiacos on her | ||||||
| 4 | recent accomplishments in archery; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Diamanto Mesiacos, the daughter of Ted and Kate | ||||||
| 6 | Mesiacos, is currently a freshman at Rosary High School in | ||||||
| 7 | Aurora; she previously attended Holy Angels Catholic School in | ||||||
| 8 | Aurora for her grade school education; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Diamanto Mesiacos has participated in several | ||||||
| 10 | events hosted by archery groups based in the State, including | ||||||
| 11 | the Junior Olympic Archery Development Program (JOAD) through | ||||||
| 12 | the Illinois Target Archery Association (ITAA) and the Field | ||||||
| 13 | Archery of Illinois (FAI) organization; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, Last year alone, Diamanto Mesiacos placed first | ||||||
| 15 | in the BareBow Female U15 at the 2022 ITAA JOAD Indoor State | ||||||
| 16 | Championship, placed first in the BareBow Female U15 at the | ||||||
| 17 | 2022 FAI Indoor State Championship, and placed first in the | ||||||
| 18 | BareBow Female U15 at the 2022 ITAA JOAD Outdoor State | ||||||
| 19 | Championship, where she was also the top scorer in the BareBow | ||||||
| 20 | Female All-Ages competition; and

| 21 | WHEREAS, This year, Diamanto Mesiacos has continued with | ||||||

| 1 | her remarkable achievements in archery; on August 5, 2023, she | ||||||
| 2 | placed first in the BareBow Female U18 at the 2023 ITAA JOAD | ||||||
| 3 | Outdoor State Championship, achieving a new state record in | ||||||
| 4 | the process; she also placed first in the BareBow Female U18 at | ||||||
| 5 | the 2023 ITAA All-Ages Outdoor State Championship; therefore, | ||||||

| 7 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
| 8 | HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 9 | we recognize Diamanto Mesiacos on her recent achievements in | ||||||
