| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Dr. David | ||||||
| 4 | T. Cypin, who passed away on June 28, 2013; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, David Cypin was born on May 17, 1954, in Chicago; | ||||||
| 6 | his parents were Charles and Gertrude Cypin; he married Barbara | ||||||
| 7 | Anne Rand on July 9, 1988, in Arlington Heights; and
| ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, David Cypin attended school in both Skokie and | ||||||
| 9 | Niles and graduated from Niles East High School in 1972; he | ||||||
| 10 | continued his education by attending the undergraduate program | ||||||
| 11 | at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa before graduating from | ||||||
| 12 | the University of Illinois Medical Center School of Dentistry | ||||||
| 13 | in 1979; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, After graduating from dental school, David Cypin | ||||||
| 15 | partnered with Dr. Robert Corte in a practice in LaGrange, | ||||||
| 16 | where they worked together until 1997; from 1980 until 1997, he | ||||||
| 17 | was on staff at various Chicagoland hospitals, being associated | ||||||
| 18 | with dental procedures in their hospital operating rooms and | ||||||
| 19 | with their residency programs; in 1997, he moved to Marion to | ||||||
| 20 | practice dentistry with his fellow classmate, Dr. Robert J. | ||||||
| 21 | Main; he practiced at Main & Cypin Dentistry until the time of | ||||||
| 22 | his passing; and

| 1 | WHEREAS, David Cypin was an active member of the American | ||||||
| 2 | Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society, the | ||||||
| 3 | Southern Illinois Dental Society, and Marion Elks BPOE Lodge | ||||||
| 4 | 800; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, David Cypin enjoyed traveling, playing tennis, | ||||||
| 6 | golf, and spending time with his family and friends; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, David Cypin was preceded in death by his parents | ||||||
| 8 | and his brother, Allen Cypin; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, David Cypin is survived by his wife, Barbara Anne | ||||||
| 10 | Cypin; his daughter, Tayler Nicole Cypin; his father-in-law, | ||||||
| 11 | Theodore Rand and his wife, Sara Campbell; his sisters-in-law, | ||||||
| 12 | Terri Rand and Jacklyn Rodgers; and his many friends; | ||||||
| 13 | therefore, be it

| 14 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
| 15 | NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 16 | we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Dr. | ||||||
| 17 | David T. Cypin; and be it further
| ||||||
| 18 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 19 | presented to the family of David Cypin as an expression of our | ||||||
| 20 | sympathy.
