| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to congratulate Dr. George Mihel on the | ||||||
| 4 | occasion of his retirement as President and CEO of Sauk Valley | ||||||
| 5 | Community College; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, Dr. George Mihel was born in Oak Park in 1947; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Dr. George Mihel graduated from Lyons Township | ||||||
| 8 | High School in 1965 and attended Lyons Junior College; he | ||||||
| 9 | subsequently earned a bachelor's degree from the University of | ||||||
| 10 | Illinois in 1970, a master's degree from Northern Illinois | ||||||
| 11 | University in 1972 in Instructional Technology, and a Doctorate | ||||||
| 12 | from Northern Illinois in 1988; and
| ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Dr. George Mihel taught high school level math and | ||||||
| 14 | science from 1970 to 1978 and math and science at the college | ||||||
| 15 | level in Oregon from 1978 to 1982; from 1982 to 2013, he served | ||||||
| 16 | as a College Administrator in Michigan, Nebraska, Kansas, and | ||||||
| 17 | Illinois; and
| ||||||
| 18 | WHEREAS, In 2005, Dr. George Mihel became President of at | ||||||
| 19 | Sauk Valley Community College in Dixon; and
| ||||||
| 20 | WHEREAS, Dr. George Mihel serves as a model of hard work, | ||||||

| 1 | integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of | ||||||
| 2 | Illinois; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 3 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
| 4 | NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
| 5 | congratulate Dr. George Mihel on the occasion of his retirement | ||||||
| 6 | and wish him continued success and happiness in the future; and | ||||||
| 7 | be it further

| 8 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 9 | presented to Dr. George Mihel as a symbol of our esteem and | ||||||
