4 | organization's Illinois Links Legislative Day at the State | ||||||
5 | Capitol on April 17, 2024; and

6 | WHEREAS, The Links, Incorporated is an international, | ||||||
7 | not-for-profit corporation that was established in 1946 for | ||||||
8 | the purposes of education, civic, and cultural enhancement; | ||||||
9 | and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, The Links, Incorporated has a membership of more | ||||||
11 | than 17,000 professional women in 299 chapters located in 41 | ||||||
12 | states, in the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of the | ||||||
13 | Bahamas, and the United Kingdom, who are influential decision | ||||||
14 | makers and opinion leaders; and

15 | WHEREAS, Members of The Links, Incorporated provide over | ||||||
16 | one million service hours annually in five primary | ||||||
17 | programmatic areas, known as Services to Youth, The Arts, | ||||||
18 | National Trends and Services, International Trends and | ||||||
19 | Services, and Health and Human Services; and

20 | WHEREAS, The mission statement of The Links, Incorporated | ||||||

7 | comprised of 72 chapters in 17 states; and
