2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
3 | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Edward | ||||||
4 | Stanley Wodnicki of Chicago, who passed away on December 12, | ||||||
5 | 2019; and
| ||||||
6 | WHEREAS, Edward Wodnicki was born in Chicago to Stanislaw | ||||||
7 | and Ludwika Wodnicki on February 24, 1934; he served in the | ||||||
8 | U.S. Marine Corps and was a Korean War veteran; he married Joan | ||||||
9 | L. Johnson on October 24, 1956 in Chicago; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Edward Wodnicki was the retired Deputy | ||||||
11 | Superintendent of the Chicago Police Department and Executive | ||||||
12 | Director of the Cook County Sheriff's Department; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Edward Wodnicki was preceded in death by his wife, | ||||||
14 | Joan L. Wodnicki, and his siblings, Joseph, Helen, and Estella; | ||||||
15 | and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, Edward Wodnicki is survived by his children, | ||||||
17 | Edward Michael (Nicole) Wodnicki, Susan Tomaselli, and Debbie | ||||||
18 | (Angelo) Ranieri; and his grandchildren, Rachael "Ree", | ||||||
19 | Brandon, Jake, Alyssa, and Sara; therefore, be it

20 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE |

1 | HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
2 | we mourn the passing of Edward Stanley Wodnicki and extend our | ||||||
3 | sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew | ||||||
4 | and loved him; and be it further

5 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
6 | presented to the family of Edward Wodnicki as an expression of | ||||||
7 | our deepest sympathy.
