HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Cherisse
4 Tiffany Wilson, who passed away on January 18, 2010; and
5 WHEREAS, She was born on January 14, 1989 to Dennis and
6 Sylvia Wilson; she accepted Christ early in her life; and
7 WHEREAS, She graduated from Aurora Christian School in
8 2007; she was continuing her education at Illinois State
9 University in Normal, majoring in broadcasting and journalism;
10 and
11 WHEREAS, Cherisse enjoyed reading, writing poetry, music,
12 dancing, singing, and spending time with her family and
13 friends; and
14 WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her maternal
15 grandfather, Royal Price; her paternal grandparents, James C.
16 and Annie B. Wilson; and her aunts, Lauta Joyner and Carmelita
17 Price; and
18 WHEREAS, Cherisse Tiffany Wilson is survived by her
19 parents; her sisters, Chelsea Lynette Wilson, Chanel Renee
20 Wilson, and Tiana Amos; her maternal grandmother, Mary Price;

1 her aunts and uncles, Marlene (Warren) Elmore, Bonita (Ken)
2 Young, Alvin Joyner, Pamela (Gregory) Mines, Michael Wilson,
3 and James Hatcher; her cousins, Kasi (Derick) Scarbrough, Lyden
4 Joyner, Royal Elmore, Robert Elmore, Richard Elmore, Ryan
5 Elmore, Kiara Young, Britney Young, Brianna Young, Andrea
6 Mines, and Gregory Mines; and a host of other family and
7 friends; therefore, be it
8 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
9 NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
10 mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of
11 Cherisse Wilson; and be it further
12 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13 presented to the family of Cherisse Wilson as a symbol of our
14 sincere sympathy.
