HOUSE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
Representatives wish to congratulate Bishop John H. Williams
of the New Shining Light Holiness, Deliverance
Non-Denominational Church on 40 years of pastoral service; and
WHEREAS, Bishop John Williams has served as a pastor for
40 years and has been working within the church for 44 years,
giving unselfishly in a continuous effort to help others; and
WHEREAS, Bishop John Williams has served both inside of
and outside of his community in many ways throughout the
years, including through the Food Outreach Ministry and food
drives and by providing encouragement and inspiration to those
who are incarcerated; and
WHEREAS, Bishop John Williams' most highlighted community
outreach event is his Christmas toy drive where he provides
over 500 families with free groceries, Christmas trees, and
toys; and
WHEREAS, On October 1, 2022, Bishop John Williams will be
honored with a Black-Tie Affair/Wishing Well event; and
WHEREAS, On October 9, 2022, the 40th pastoral anniversary

of Bishop John Williams will be celebrated at New Shining
Light HDN Church in Venice, Illinois during the Sunday morning
worship service; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
we congratulate Bishop John H. Williams on his 40 years of
pastoral service; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to Bishop John Williams as a symbol of our esteem and
respect.
