2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
3 | Representatives wish to congratulate Bishop John H. Williams | ||||||
4 | of the New Shining Light Holiness, Deliverance | ||||||
5 | Non-Denominational Church on 40 years of pastoral service; and
| ||||||
6 | WHEREAS, Bishop John Williams has served as a pastor for | ||||||
7 | 40 years and has been working within the church for 44 years, | ||||||
8 | giving unselfishly in a continuous effort to help others; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Bishop John Williams has served both inside of | ||||||
10 | and outside of his community in many ways throughout the | ||||||
11 | years, including through the Food Outreach Ministry and food | ||||||
12 | drives and by providing encouragement and inspiration to those | ||||||
13 | who are incarcerated; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Bishop John Williams' most highlighted community | ||||||
15 | outreach event is his Christmas toy drive where he provides | ||||||
16 | over 500 families with free groceries, Christmas trees, and | ||||||
17 | toys; and
| ||||||
18 | WHEREAS, On October 1, 2022, Bishop John Williams will be | ||||||
19 | honored with a Black-Tie Affair/Wishing Well event; and
| ||||||
20 | WHEREAS, On October 9, 2022, the 40th pastoral anniversary |

1 | of Bishop John Williams will be celebrated at New Shining | ||||||
2 | Light HDN Church in Venice, Illinois during the Sunday morning | ||||||
3 | worship service; therefore, be it

4 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
5 | HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
6 | we congratulate Bishop John H. Williams on his 40 years of | ||||||
7 | pastoral service; and be it further
| ||||||
8 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
9 | presented to Bishop John Williams as a symbol of our esteem and | ||||||
10 | respect.
