| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to congratulate the Goreville High School | ||||||
| 4 | boys basketball team, the Blackcats, on their historic | ||||||
| 5 | 2017-2018 season; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, The Blackcats earned a birth in the 2018 Illinois | ||||||
| 7 | High School Association Class 1A Boys State Basketball | ||||||
| 8 | Tournament, their first in school history; they finished with | ||||||
| 9 | an impressive run in the tournament, making it to the Final | ||||||
| 10 | Four; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, The Blackcats concluded their regular season with | ||||||
| 12 | a record of 23 wins and 13 losses; and
| ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, The Blackcats were the Sesser-Valier Holiday | ||||||
| 14 | Tournament Champions, the Meridian Regional Champions, the | ||||||
| 15 | Hardin County Sectional Champions, and the Carbondale (SIU) | ||||||
| 16 | Super-Sectional Champions; and
| ||||||
| 17 | WHEREAS, The Blackcats are coached by Head Coach Todd Tripp | ||||||
| 18 | and Assistant Coaches Alex Fischer and Gary Glidewell; and
| ||||||
| 19 | WHEREAS, The Blackcats are Luke Brown, Peyton Geyman, | ||||||
| 20 | Peyton Massey, Braden Webb, Morgan Bishop, Kanon Webb, Raymond | ||||||
