New Act

Creates the Prohibition on University Employment Act. Prohibits a public university or a private university that receives State funds from employing a person who has committed an act of violence against the government of the United States of America or the State of Illinois.

1 AN ACT concerning higher education.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 1. Short title. This Act may be cited as the
5 Prohibition on University Employment Act.
6 Section 5. Definition of university. "University" means a
7 public university in this State or a private university located
8 in this State that receives State funds.
9 Section 10. Act of violence against government. A
10 university is prohibited from employing a person who has
11 committed an act of violence against the government of the
12 United States of America or the State of Illinois.
