Bill Title: Amends the Boiler and Pressure Vessel Safety Act. Authorizes the State Fire Marshal to petition for injunctive relief to enjoin any person, firm, association, corporation, or other entity in violation of the Act to cease the prohibited activity. Authorizes a court to issue a temporary restraining order against the person or entity in violation of the Act. Further provides that if any person or entity remains in violation after injunctive relief or a temporary restraining order has been granted, then the court may enter a judgment permanently enjoining that person or entity from engaging in further prohibited activities.

4 | "Section 5. The Boiler and Pressure Vessel Safety Act is | ||||||
5 | amended by adding Section 12.2 as follows:

7 | Sec. 12.2. Injunctive relief. The Attorney General, or the | ||||||
8 | State's Attorney of the county in which the violation occurred, | ||||||
9 | may, at the request of the State Fire Marshal, or on his or her | ||||||
10 | own motion, institute a civil action for an injunction, | ||||||
11 | prohibitory or mandatory, to restrain violations of this Act, | ||||||
12 | any rule or regulation adopted under this Act, any permit or | ||||||
13 | term or condition of a permit, or any Board order, or to | ||||||
14 | require such other actions as may be necessary to address | ||||||
15 | violations of this Act, any rule or regulation adopted under | ||||||
16 | this Act, any permit or term or condition of a permit, or any |
